Thoughts about a road trip

I was on Google maps today for work.  I started looking at some of the old Federal roads that predate the interstate highway system.  It is amazing the distances some of these roads cover.  We all have heard of Route 66 running from Chicago to LA.  The road itself does not got the full distance but now but is still a iconic road.  My thoughts then turned to roads that I have grown up near.

I looked at U.S. 60.  I turned on the Wiki on Google maps and started scrolling along going East to West.  The road starts at Virginia Beach VA on the Atlantic ocean and runs all the way to I 10 in Arizona.  Over 3000 miles in all and I think it would be a fun drive.  Pick a spring day, and soft top and just drive with no real time table.  If I count it correctly it would be 8 states, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

This post is not going where I was thinking it would.  I may need to actually take time and right it out.  I hope everyone has a great weekend

Well the light dusting of snow on Saturday was followed by an 50 degree Sunday. Beautiful day and very crisp weather. Monday morning snow and freezing rain. Let's all slopw down and be carefull. I put the sand bags in the truck and the boys have on their winter coats now. Beth found the gloves but she has not broke out the scarves yet. Winter is here and let's enjoy.

Uncle Hub passed away on Friday morning and one of Beth's great aunts died on Sunday. Granddad is the last of the Seaton boys left. There were 7 of them. So Mother Seaton had a house of 8 men. Beth goes nuts with just 4 of us.

Met with the guy from Computer Plus Saturday afternoon. Very good meeting. He is a very good salesman. I got to watch him interact with his empolyees and a couple of customers. I would love to own my own franchise. I need Beth to meet with him now and start working on finanacing.

Everyone I hope you have a good week and remember your friends and family.
