Ok a little geek blog time.
Been running Chrome for about 2 weeks now. I have really grown to enjoy it. Firefox may have been replaced by it as my new favorite browser. Both of then kick IE butt. Chrome has started using extensions like Firefox and that has put it over the top for me. I now can check Facebook , my blog, and all my emails form Chrome like I did with Firefox and the bookmarks are on the right hand side of the browser making them easy to reach. I also like how it works with with Win7. The window will split if I have AIM and Chrome open at the same time. This makes is easier to chat and surf the web at the same time.
Not much of a blog tonight but Hay.

Quick Post
Good weekend was had by all. Gman played basketball, Beth got a new coat. E got to see Grandma and Papa. I got my computer deck cleaned off and the hutch that was falling down removed.
I have found there are no good storage devices for computer games. The cd/dvd case holders are to small for most computer games cases. This is because most games come in a double case for the cd and a book. The book has on it the activation code for the game and you really need to keep it together with the games itself. This makes it hard to use one of the cd cases that does not have room for the books. I really do not have the design ability to come up with something but I would think this would be an item people could use and buy. Not to mention and good tool box for a computer geek. Something to organize all the cables, boot disc, screws, boards, memory etc. I have seen a few good small cases mainly for tools but not a great organizer that has room for a GPU, power cable, a couple of different USB cords, and say a boot disc/key. Again good idea but I have no talent on how to design or build.
Well hope everyone has a good week. Got to help E with homework. Yes homework in KinderGarden I do not remember this from school

Not one more word or ....
So last night E was being his know it all 5 year old self. He did not want Daddy helping him with his homework because Daddy did not know how to do it. He said the using a and an was crazy. He was back talking so much I had to break out the "Not 1 more word or your ..." fill in the blank threat to get him to listen to his mother. Who would have ever thought Gman was going to be the good one? Oh wait that's right Gman is like Beth and E is me made over.
Gman is enjoying his science fair project even if it is driving Beth crazy. He is also like his daddy in some ways. At Granddad's service it hit him really hard. He cares for people with his whole heart and it hurts him deeply when others hurt. He is like me in that he shows his emotions very easily but his temperment is so much like Beths. They are both wonderful, rotten, crazy kids. Thank you Darlin for both of them.
Praying for Marc and Megan.
Thanks again everyone for the prayers and thoughts over the last 2 weeks.

Op Ed in LHL
Ok back to political rant time.
Op Ed piece in the by Dave Adkisson got my attention today. The State of Ky, and most others, have budget problems this year. Adkisson is the president of the Ky Chamber of Commerce, and he shares his ideas on how to solve those issues and made my blood pressure rise. Please read the article and then look at the source and tell me what you think.
My thoughts start with the the idea that the Chamber will not want to have any tax reform that could include a tax on services or would hurt their members. But the article is not an attack on taxes or tax reform. It is a denial that anything besides reform in government spending is needed to solve the budge issues. He wants to government to spend less on jails, Medicare, and State employee insurance. So the Chamber says we need to be soft on crime by not keeping criminals locked up as long. We should reduce the amount we spend on health care for the poor and elderly by making them go to wellness training and smoking session classes but do not raise the tobacco tax another cent. State employees should pay a "reasonable contribution" for health care coverage, which is another way to lower the payroll cost of the state instead of the reduction of state workers that is being discussed.
He does not address why insurance cost are going sky high. Could it be because the Chamber Day at the Capital is being hosted by Anthem Blue Cross? The Chamber has came out against any heath care reform but its on stats used in this article show that the cost of health care for employees and Medicare have far out stripped the rise in the States budget and revenues. But Adkisson does not come out against his sponsor, no he says the people should be asked to pay more for less services. This is a great idea for the insurance companies, not so much for the people or the state.
Enough of the rant. Please read the article and let me know what you think

Had a great dinner tonight with the Games. Marc and Megan are up from Texas and we met them in Bardstown for dinner. It is always great to see them and all of our friends from college.
These are the Bubba House guys from Murray State University. They are my brothers and I do not go a day without thinking about each one of them. Twenty plus years of friendship. I cant wait to see everyone in February.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope everyone gave more than you got and got everything you needed. The boys got way to much and now I am not sure they can move in the play room let alone play in it. Beth never did make up her mind between Guiter Hero and Rock Band so she will have to pick it out herself. I got a couple of very nice shirts and a cool book on Montgomery. We have had Christmas at June and Tims. Did Christmas morning with the boys at honme. Now heading to Aunt Janets. Bonnie and Mikes is on Sunday Night.
Hopeing best wishes for you and yours.

Good time at Granddads for Christmas. The boys do love seeing him and Granny. Got to see Nana Dorthy too. Wesley looked like he had lost some weight at school this fall. I can't believe Cammie Jo is learning to drive. Tim's Grandfather passed away yesterday. So not all happy news but still a great weekend.
The boys really wracked up. Bakugon, Nerf blasters and PS2 games out the wazzu. Good clothes as well. They still have Bonnie and Mikes, Aunt Janets and then ours to go. I think there needs to be a net zero on the toy front. For every toy they get 1 needs to leave the house. I would say let them pick to be fair but I know that's not going to happen.
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Spend time with family and friends.
